In addition to allowing candidates to earn certifications at a master, expert, professional, or associate level, HP allows candidates to earn their certifications based on specific job roles. This allows candidates to earn additional certifications as their skill levels expand, and it allows candidates to prove to employers that they are knowledgeable enough to be qualified for promotions within the work force.

Candidates who wish to achieve the architect job role certifications are qualified for both designing and consulting. These candidates possess a mastery of technical skills, but they are also well-versed in a variety of business skills. As part of their daily job tasks, an architect will be responsible for leveraging HP’s portfolio. They’ll have an understanding of the customers’ needs and will have skills in a variety of HP products and solutions.

While candidates who achieve the architect level of certification must be able to be skilled in business, the primary focus of the implementer job role is a candidate’s technical skills. Professionals who wish to earn certifications with this job role attached must be familiar with installing, configuring, and optimizing HP solutions and products. They must also be able to understand technology ranging from SMB and mid-market solutions to those used in complex heterogeneous data center environments.

Whether a professional wishes to earn a certification with an architect or implementer job role, they must be able pass the certification exams that are required. HP provides authorized training courses for each of their certification exams, and candidates are able to take advantage of outside exam preparation resources, such as those offered by TestsLive.

In the recent times, we have only been talking about the mainstream tablets like Apple iPad, Google Nexus, other Asus tablets, Samsung Galaxy Tabs and Amazon Kindle Fire. But we also need to discuss some of those tablets that promised to make big impact on the market. Lets take the example of HP TouchPad, that was predicted to become a big thing but that did not happen.

HP announced its first WebOS based tablet in an event held in February last year. Well, right after that Apple introduced iPad 2, but right now iPad 2 is still on the top while we don’t see any HP TouchPad lying around. HP failed to make right decisions for the future of its WebOS and that is the main reason why the 10 inch TouchPad tablet was discontinued only 49 days after its release. Well, it means that HP was unable to sell TouchPad at the start but then the retailers had to start a fire sale to clear out the stock and that went pretty well. HP TouchPad was one of the best selling tablets of the last year only because of the fire sale that brought down its price to $99. So, it all means that at this moment there are many people who are using a TouchPad tablet.

So, if you are one of those users who were lucky enough to get their hands on the very cheap HP TouchPad, then I am sure that you have been enjoying webOS experience more than those people who bought it at its original price. Previously, developers were able to port Android Gingerbread and later even Android Ice Cream Sandwich was also seen running on the HP TouchPad tablet. Now, it seems like CyanogenMod 10 is bringing Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the TouchPad users as well.

If you need a detailed guide to know how to install Jelly Bean on your TouchPad, you can find it at the Liliputing website right now. You have to keep in mind that once CyanogenMod 10 is installed on your device, it might stop a few functions including embedded camera and microphone. Additionally, we have also heard that the CM 10 also does not support the ability to stream videos due to some issues in video acceleration. Here is a video for you showing Jelly Bean running on a HP TouchPad model:

According to the latest report, HP and Dell have also announced that they will be coming with their own Windows RT tablet device that will be powered by TI OMAP and Qualcomm made processor ships....

According to the latest report, HP and Dell have also announced that they will be coming with their own Windows RT tablet device that will be powered by TI OMAP and Qualcomm made processor ships. Of course both PC manufacturing companies will be bringing these new Windows RT tablets during the Q4 of this year. This report has been taken from sources at the Supply chain makers, while we have also heard a lot more news related to Apple iPad mini and Amazon Kindle Fire 2 in the recent days.

We already know that Lenovo, Toshiba and Asus will also be bringing Windows RT tablet computers, but on the other hand, Acer has already announced that they will not enter the Windows RT tablet market and instead they will only focus on the Intel based Windows tablets. There are also chances that Sony and Samsung will also bring their own Windows RT tablets, but we haven’t heard about them yet, so it might take a while. According to the same sources, we have also heard that both Windows RT and Windows 8 Pro based tablets will come with price tags starting at $599 and they might reach as high as $1000, which will be almost double the amount of an Apple iPad. So, the price factor for the Windows 8 tablet devices is considered to be a problem, because unlike an enterprise user, an average consumer will not be able to afford a $1000 tablet.

Well, we are not forgetting the Microsoft Surface tablet, which according to the general opinion is going to be a little cheaper than the other Windows 8 tablets in the market. I don’t think other manufacturers will like Microsoft keeping the prices of their own tablets lower, and that’s why Microsoft will be forced to keep the prices in line with the other tablets in the market. All this is a mere speculation yet, but we are definitely waiting to see what happens once these devices are released. At this time, you have to keep in mind that all the component suppliers and tablet manufacturers don’t know whether they will be able to generate profit with the help of Windows 8 or not, but they are forced to increase the prices of their devices due to high licensing fees set by Microsoft for the tablets.

Today a very interesting news was published by the New York Times that showed us how Microsoft was led to enter the tablet market by itself due to the fall of Windows 7 powered tablets...

Today a very interesting news was published by the New York Times that showed us how Microsoft was led to enter the tablet market by itself due to the fall of Windows 7 powered tablets from its OEM partners. We all are familiar with the rift between HP and Microsoft, that resulted into HP buying Palm. Well, it seems like all that started back at CES 2010 event, when HP showed a prototype Windows 7 slate to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. That HP prototype tablet was later named as the HP Slate 500.

Well, this HP prototype slate was developed to compete with the original Apple iPad that was about to be launched at the time. Microsoft was bringing many touch related features to its Windows platform because they knew that touch computing will be playing an important part in the near future. Apparently, the prototype made by HP was pretty decent but the end product was not that good. HP was unable to get all those components in the bulk quantity and at that time Windows was not that optimized for touch based experience either.

So, the end product was not that slim, and the Windows running Intel processor was very hot and it required an active fan cooling. Now, that fan was very loud and it really did not match with the silent computing concept brought to reality by smartphones and the iPad. The screen on the tablet was not that sensitive and it was unable to run smoothly with the Microsoft Windows’ touch controls.

So overall the tablet was a big failure and at that time the market of Windows Mobile was also falling. That is the reason why Microsoft started to revamp its entire mobile platform. The development of Windows 8 started eventually, and Windows 8 focuses on mobile platform as well as the PCs. Microsoft also learned another lesson at that time, they found out that their OEM partners are not capable of investing big money to develop a quality product that will be a better counterpart to Apple’s iPad.

After revamping its mobile OS platforms including Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Phone, Microsoft took another big step enter the hardware market. On the other hand, HP was not happy with Microsoft because they were not making their Windows 7 better and Windows Phone 7 was also delayed so much and that is why they moved to Palm OS and freed themselves from relying on Microsoft. You can read the entire report at The New York Times web page right now, for further info on the matter.

Back in 2011, HP released its first tablet named as HP TouchPad that ran on HP’s on OS the webOS. Now, HP was unable to sell this tablet, mainly because it came with a very high price tag and the OS was not liked by much people as well. After that, HP started to clear the stocks by starting fire sale for the tablet and then the TouchPad’s sales skyrocketed because of very low price tag. Soon after that it was also found out that there are ways to run Android on the tablet. HP was able to clear out all the stock in no time but time after time we usually see some units appearing at some stores.

So, HP is not making the new HP TouchPad units now but some of the refurbished ones usually appear at some occasions. Apparently, a website named moofi has some of them and they are available on the sale for you to pick up right now.

Moofi is selling the refurbished units of HP TouchPad right now, well, these are 32GB models and are available at an affordable price of $194.99. As I mentioned above, these are refurbished, but you will be getting 90 days warranty from HP. Now, as you can see the price is about $50 higher than the original sale price of the device but you are not only getting a WebOS device here. You will be able to enjoy Android or Linux on this device as well, so, it is a very good offer.

Now, there are plenty of better and newer Android tablets available right now at this price but you will be stuck with smaller 7 inch displays with them, while HP’s TouchPad offers a larger 10.1 inch display which offers a lot of space to have fun. Here is the link to Moofi where you can get your hands on a refurbished 32GB model of HP TouchPad for only $195.

You might remember that last year, HP released a tablet called TouchPad that did not do well in the markets and after that the manufacturer had to clear the stock by putting up a sale and HP TouchPad became one of the most selling tablet of last year due to the $100 discounted price. After that HP shut down its webOS department and stopped the manufacturing of mobile devices.

Now, it seems like HP wants to get back into the tablet game, as Hewlett Packard is planning on bringing a new tablet. This time, HP is not going to use its own webOS and instead of that, HP is going to bring a Windows 8 tablet. We all know that Windows 8 is one of the most talked about software of this year and it will be arriving later this year. Of course HP’s own WebOS was not able to get much popularity among the consumers but this time HP returns with the highly anticipated OS of the year to try its luck once again in the tablet business.

HP’s CEO, Meg Whitman who shut down the project last year has now restarted the production of the tablets. According to Whitman, HP is once again going to capitalize on extraordinary growth in tablet sales. Of course they have considered the tough competition in tablet market, as Apple iPad is maintaining its dominance in the market at the moment.

Well, we did not get much details about this upcoming tablet but right now all we can say is that this tablet will be arriving around the Holiday season, obviously after the release of Windows 8 OS, which will be arriving at the beginning of winter.

In addition to that, HP is also planning to merge its printing and PC departments and this merger is valued at $65 billion and it will also result into more centralized sales and marketing teams that will make HP more efficient. HP is also planning on continuing focus on its ultrabooks and thinner notebooks in its Envy lineup.

Today, we have found a new slide from a HP internet presentation and from that slide we have found out that the first official name for a Windows 8 Tablet will be HP Slate 8. So, it seems like the first HP tablet running Windows 8 will be Slate 8 and it should not be confused with the Slate 500, as both of them are two different devices. As I mentioned above, it is a business tablet and it will be bringing a 10.1 inch display as well as docking ability.

Obviously, the HP Slate 8 will be running on the touch version of Windows 8 Professional and it will be one of the tablets from HP’s Elite series of slates which are the highest level of consumer products. This tablet will have enhanced security features including HP ProtectTools, TPM Security and support for Computrace which will prove very helpful when you lose your tablet. Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 platform will have support for the capcitive pen input and the HP Slate 8’s display will be ready to work outdoors as well. The HP Slate 8 running on Win 8 will be offering battery life of 8-10 hours and it will weigh around 0.68 kg.

In addition to that, the HP Slate 8 will be 9.2mm thin and the body will be made up of aluminum. As you can see the design of the HP tablets looks similar to that of the HTC Jestream tablet which is pretty amazing as the design of the HTC tablet was original. Well, we are anxiously waiting when HP is going to announce the slate 8 officially to the public. We are hoping that this product would not remain a mere prototype and it should see the light of the day very soon. Of course other manufacturers will also be bringing new Windows 8 tablets by the end of this year, all we need to do now is just wait and watch.

Last year, HP launched its first decent tablet for the masses, well, it was not a big hit and went totally wrong right after its launch. After a while, HP put up a fire sale and sold this tablet for $100 apiece and that is why it became an instant hit. After that developers and hackers were able to port Android 4.0 on it which made it even more popular in the recent times. Now, it seems like HP is planning to bring a follow up for the TouchPad, it is called HP TouchPad Go and take a look at it in the image below.

These images have been provided by the FCC, they tore the down this device and it looks like a 7 inch version of the original TouchPad. Previously, TouchPad Go was supposed to hit the shelves in the end of 2011 and it even got FCC approval back in October last year. But right after that, HP decided to shut down the webOS area and it cancelled its phones and tablets releases. So, the GO tablet never reached the public at all. Last we heard about this tablet was that the HP had quite a bunch of units laying around and they decided to give them to the HP employees.

So, as you can see in the images below, the mainboard of TouchPad GO shows a Qualcomm APQ8060 1.2 GHz dual core processor. We also saw Samsung SDRAM, SanDish flash memory and some other chips as well, which cannot be recognized right now due to all the blurriness here. Of course there is also a WLAN card as well as a Broadcom transceiver and we also saw a rear 5MP camera and a 1.3 MP front camera as well. So, at this time, we don’t know when it will go public again, but HP clearly has no intentions of doing so.

Well, you might remember all the media hype surrounding the HP TouchPad’s fire sale which was offering the device for $99. Well, that fire sale was in the spotlight for a long time and made HP TouchPad the most affordable tablet out there. Basically, HP put up that fire sale to clear out the remaining stock of its failed tablet and they almost succeeded to do so and nowadays you might not get at your favorite local retail stores. On the other hand, there is a possibility that the device might make an appearance somewhere and some time.

Well, if you live near the Best Buy Store in Santee, California, then you might be interested in knowing that the retail store is offering 32GB HP TouchPad for sale. And it looks like the device is also in stock right now, we don’t know how they managed to get their hands on this discontinued tablet, but that is not the point here. The most interesting about this is the price at which Best Buy is selling this tablet.

As you can see in the image posted above, Best Buy is asking the full $599.99 retail price for a 32 GB HP TouchPad. But we all know that it is not right and that is the reason why no one is going to buy this tablet. In my opinion, someone has made an error somewhere because the device has been tagged as a “new tablet”. That’s not the case because we already know that the device was introduced last year at that retail price and now the actual worth has fallen a lot.

Obviously, we can see that there is some kind of mix up at the store level, or maybe some employee is misinformed. In any case, we are sure that the officials will fix this price issue and if you are there at the time of price drop, you will be surely lucky to get your hands on a HP TouchPad model.

Thanks to CyanogenMod 9 ROM, almost every device out there has tasted the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich till now. You might remember that HP’s TouchPad is the second most selling slate of last year, which means that there are so many users stuck with its webOS. Fortunately, developers were successful in porting Android on this great little device. Many have been enjoying Android on HP TouchPad for a while, and now we have finally reached to a more stable version. The great news is that now nightly builds of CyanogenMod 9 Alpha are available which will make this device more stable.

You might not be aware of the nightly builds, it basically means that with these builds CyanogenMod 9 Alpha 6 on your TouchPad will be able to sync itself with the main development section of CM9 for all the existing devices. It means that your HP TouchPad will be getting the latest updates and bug fixes automatically. It means that every night if a new version is released, you will be getting it. This latest development came right from Teamwin, they have also set up a Twitter account on which they will push the alerts and download links for all the vital build releases.

Of course, you should remember that these are unofficial builds and might include some issues and all. At this time, users are still waiting for some major features like video playback and camera support are yet to arrive in the final CyanogenMod 9 build for HP TouchPad. So, you have to keep track of the above mentioned Twitter account for further updates. We are expected to get some major updates soon, HP is also working with the developers this time, so maybe they will help in this matter too. Lets wait and watch..
