Acer Iconia Tab A700 Spotted At the FCC

You might be familiar with the Acer Iconia Tab A700 which is going to be the latest high end flagship tablet device from Acer. Well, Acer has not announced the launch date for the Iconia Tab A700 in US yet. According to a latest report from Liliputing, this upcoming slate has been spotted at the FCC. So, it means that Acer has sent this tablet for testing at the FCC and that will result into a very soon launch of the device as well. Recently, Acer released a tablet named as Iconia Tab A510, and just like that one, the new Iconia Tab A700 will also be powered by a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.

 

In addition to that, the Iconia Tab A700 will also be rocking the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Another interesting thing about this high end Acer tablet is that it will sport an impressive 10.1 display screen having resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. This high resolution is not found in many Android tablets out there and only few can match it and similarly it will be able to compete with the third generation Apple iPad.

We have also come to know that Acer Iconia Tab A700 will arrive in 32 and 64GB versions and it will also support HDMI connectivity, USB port and you will find a 5MP camera at the rear of the device as well. Another plus point of this device is its high powered battery which is 9800 mAh and it will be able to provide juice to this high res display device for enough time. At this time we cant say whether there will be a 3G/4G model of the device, because Acer has only sent the WiFi only version to the FCC for testing. As you can see, after the release of Retina Display iPad, Asus and Acer are trying to release their 1080p tablets in the markets which is good for the competition and users will have more options.

So, at this time we don’t have any exact release date for the Acer Iconia Tab A700 as well as the Transformer Pad 700 from Asus. But it is highly expected that both high res tablets will hit the shelves in the late summer. As I mentioned above, Iconia Tab A700 is a premium high end product and it will come with an expensive price tag of 549 Euros. What do you think about this tablet?
