Apple iPad mini Will Be Launched This With Less Than USD 300 Price Tag

Well, its been a while since we have been hearing about a smaller version of Apple iPad. Now, it seems like the rumor mill is not going to stop just now as we have some more information on the iPad mini today. This time, the new report comes from Chinese net portal, NetEase, and according to this report, many Taiwan media reports are citing that the iPad mini supply chain has been finalized and Apple will be shipping 6 million units upon the launch of the device this year.

 

As you might have heard previously, the smaller version of Apple iPad was going to bring a retail price tag between $250 and $300. Now, latest reports are also suggesting that the iPad mini will be a counter attack from Apple to Windows 8 tablets, that are expected to hit the shelves in the second half of this year.

From the previous reports, we already know that the smaller version of iPad will be brining a 7.85 inch screen and it will sport a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. So, if we think those reports as accurate, then the current apps designed and optimized for the iPad 2 and the original iPad will be able to run seamlessly on the iPad mini.

So, now its almost certain that Apple is really planning to bring a smaller iPad. But the question arises that whether people will prefer it over other cheap Android 7 inch slates just like the 9.7 inch is completely dominating the larger tablet market.
