Microsoft Office 15 Will Also Have Touch Mode Toggle
It was really obvious that Microsoft Office 15 and its popular productivity apps are going to be a part of Windows 8 tablets, but the question was that how was Microsoft planning to package such interface which will be able to satisfy both a traditional mouse and keyboard and touch input? It was really confusing, and we thought that Microsoft might have to design a whole new interface separately for the tablets.
Now, a screenshot has surfaced the internet from the technical preview of the Office 15 and it reveals the secret how Microsoft will be managing the two input styles in the same interface. As you can see in the screenshot posted below, Microsoft has included a touch mode button in it, which will let users to switch between touch screen mode and mouse and keyboard mode, genius isn’t it?
Let me remind you that the technical preview that we are discussing here does not have all the features enable. So, that is why this touch mode button is currently inactive, but still the contact from ZDNet was able to provide this screenshot for us to make our confusion go away. So, now we can say that Microsoft has developed this fantastic Office UI which will also be touch friendly.
