iPad 3 To Be Released In March While iPad 4 Is Also Coming In October
Well, DigiTimes is back once again with their anonymous component supplier sources and this time again a grand scoop has been provided by them. The latest reports states that Apple is scheduled to launch iPad 3 March, which we have been expecting obviously but the new thing in the report is that it claims that iPad 4 will also be out in October this year. If the second claim is true, then we can see that Apple might have reduced the upgrade cycle to half a year from now on.
Previously, after the release of iPad 2 we have heard many rumors that Apple is going launch a high resolution iPad 3 in the fall of 2011 but those never came true and now the report has also described the reason behind early release. The report says that iPad 4 will be coming after this less time because at that moment Windows 8 tablets are also coming and Apple don’t want to take them hold of the market, so it proves be believable.

Many rumors previously have suggested that iPad 3 will be coming with a QXGA resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels along with the longer battery life. The rumors also stated that two LED light bars used for high resolution are going to require more space which might even make iPad 3 a little thicker than iPad 2, and obviously longer lasting battery will also take some more room. But still, Apple’s main goal is that they can somehow bring iPad 3 with the same price tag as of the current iPad 2, while the latter is expected to be lowered to $399 and will battle with other popular Android tablets.
iPad 4 on the other hand is expected to come with even more impressive hardware upgrade than the iPad 3 even a quad core A6 processor. So, the main purpose of iPad 4 will be to battler with the first batch of Windows 8 Tablets and both Acer and Lenovo are all set to launch Windows 8 tablets in Q3 this year.
