Asus Eee Pad MeMo Might Be Launched At CES This Month
Its almost an year when we first and last time saw Asus Eee Pad MeMo at the CES event held in Las Vegas. At that time it was expected that the device will be launching with Android Honeycomb, a stylus and will have the ability to provide glasses free 3D visual effects. Now, it has been reported that Asus has dropped the features including 3D and stylus and the device might be coming with Android Ice Cream Sandwich instead of Honeycomb. Well, as you have read the headline, the most exciting thing is that we might be getting lucky and see the launch of the device later this month. The introduction of Ice Cream Sandwich will purely be a surprise though, as the Asus Transformer Prime is still to get the ICS update and MeMo is expected to bring ICS before Transformer Prime.

So, as you know that it has been very long when we last discussed about the tablet and there might be many readers who are unaware of the tablet, lets take a look at the tablet in a nutshell. In the starting, it’s a tablet having 7.1 inch display screen having resolution of 800 x 1280 while it is powered by a dual core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that comes under the hood. Additionally, the tablet is also accompanied by a 5 MP camera which has the ability to record 1080p HD videos and there is a 1.3 MP front camera is also present for the usual self portraits and video chatting. It has also been reported that the WiFi enabled Asus Eee Pad MeMo will be available in three different models having 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB native storage capacity.
We have no confirmation on the pricing, launch date and retailer availability for the Eee Pad MeMo but it is highly expected that these mundane items will be made public at the CES, yes, at CES where the tablet will be showcased for the second time.
